Líbere Córdoba Hostel Review

Córdoba might not be high on your list of places you plan to see in Spain, but this gem of a city in Andalucia is well worth a visit. Córdoba’s claim to fame includes sights like the Mezquita-Catedral (Mosque-Cathedral), Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos (Palace of the Christian Kings), and even an ancient Roman bridge. While there’s still a good amount of travelers here, it’s not nearly as busy as Seville or Granada, making this a nice breather from the hustle and bustle of more tourist-heavy cities. 

During my recent trip to Spain, I stayed at the Líbere Córdoba Hostel and will share my honest thoughts on my experience there.

How Much Does It Cost to Stay at the Líbere Córdoba Hostel?
The Líbere Córdoba Hostel was in the mid-range for hostel prices during my trip, costing roughly 47 euros per night for a 10-person room. Personally, I think you only need a few days in Córdoba, so a 2-night stay can still be under 100 euros. 

What I Liked About the Líbere Córdoba Hostel

• Location - The nice thing about this hotel is that it’s off the beaten path in a quieter area while still being within walking distance to a major sightseeing spots.
• Aesthetic - I love the design of this hostel. You can tell it’s a newer building, but it also embraces that style that’s synonymous with Southern Spain. It even has a center courtyard where people can still outside and read or do work.
• Outdoor wifi - As mentioned, the Líbere Córdoba has an outdoor courtyard, but even better, there’s wifi access out here. 
• Good for remote workers - This hostel seemed to be a popular spot for remote workers in general. Plus, the serene setting lends itself to being a relaxing location for digital nomads.

What I Didn’t Like About the Líbere Córdoba Hostel

• Plumbing issues - While the building appears newer and my room was nice, I did have an issue with plumbing problems in our room. We had two toilets and two showers. Unfortunately, one of the toilets was unusable due to the awful smell. Thankfully, it was only noticeable if you tried to use that toilet, but it was still frustrating that it left our room with just one usable toilet.
• Bathroom setup - With this bathroom set up, the toilet and showers were not in the same room at the mirror and sinks. That meant you had to actually get ready for day in the room where other people were sleeping. As someone who regularly gets up early, it was daunting trying to get ready while also being respectful of my fellow travelers. ​
